The cover features a painting by Guy Peellaert in which the singer is featured as a kind of centaur except he's half-man/half-dog instead of half-man/half-horse. Fearing controversy, RCA records withdrew the records and ordered the artwork to be reproduced with the canine genitalia airbrushed out.
Condition for age is very good - with various pin holes / old tape at the corners, minor creasing at edges & slight colour fading due to its 47 years of being in existence! Has now been professionally framed and looks absolutely stunning. A very rare and stunning must have item for the Bowie fans out there!
