Bell Moto 3 Pro & Scott Tyrant Goggles. Very Rare 1982. NOS Unused Iconic Lid
Very Rare NOS Bell Moto 3 Pro. Including new Scott Tyrant Goggles.

With a great looking goggle combo! This is a rare opportunity to own one of these great iconic old school Bell Moto 3 Pro helmets. Which is a new old stock item. It has not been unused or worn as intended and as such it is in great original condition.

I bought this from a collector in Japan some years ago. Who stated it was a 1982 model.

The helmet itself is NOS and unworn / unused from new. It has simply been stored / used as a display item. Externally the helmet is pretty much flawless visually and is just as it was the day it was made back in the 80s. The colour and finish is superb.

The decals are superb, bar some of the very tip edges having lifted in places slightly. A touch of appropriate glue would sort that out if required. I have listed this as "new with defects" due to the fact that the inner lining of the helmet has been affected over time with age. The protective solid foam lining aspect is as it should be. However, the comfort blue terry towelling lining. The glue has deteriorated and let go over time and this has become loose.

It has also thinned over time. This was no issue for me, as I never intended to use the helmet for riding. It has been simply placed onto a mannequin head and displayed on a shelf as an eye catching piece of bike memorabilia. Had I considered using this as intended, as a helmet for riding.

I would have lined the helmet with a layer of softer comfort foam, of a thickness to suit my head size nicely. Then glued the blue terry lining back into place. Making it the correct custom fit for me to use.

There is also a centre circular disc of original lining which went into the crown of the helmet which is missing. So, a disc of a similar kind of material would be needed there, if that was required to be put right. You can't see this in the images. But there is a small split / crack in the peak front.

There has been a section of tape placed on the underside of the peak for this. I also then fitted the "Barstow" decal imported from the US to the outer side of the peak. This makes that matter invisible and if you didn't know about it you couldn't see it and would not know about it.

Plus I feel the Barstow sticker adds to the vintage look. This is a superb classic iconic helmet.

Which would be great for someone who collects any kind of motorcycle memorabilia, or collects and displays classic motorbike helmets. Or for someone to sort the lining issue out however they may wish. To then be used as this was intended. For use with the likes of a vinduro bike. It would be superb with a Suzuki RM, or sitting on a shelf next to an old school RM.

Or any classic MX, enduro or trail bike, green laning etc. Or for use with any classic / custom retro road bikes, which people now use the old school Moto 3 look on.

The size stated and marked is 7 1/2 - 60 cms. In reality and for the best perspective I can provide. Obviously the new ones do have a great deal more of deep padding. This one is too big for me as it is.

So in reality I would say that as it is, it is more an XL. Obviously layering the lining however would be desired would alter the fit and sizing to whatever would be needed. If someone just wanted to glue the lining back and use it.

Then id say work on it being an XL size as is. They were bought in this design and colours, as they were the best matching look for the helmet. Finding one anywhere in the world that is NOS unused and in this kind of condition is also very rare indeed. This is a find another one like it situation.

Also, with the increasing interest in 70s / 80s iconic motorcycling items and this cool old school look. This helmet will only be heading in one direction, in rarity and value over more time. If I didn't then this would not be for sale and would be staying put. Ondition is as per the images and condition description. This has been a collectors helmet from new and has only been displayed on.

Heads as an item to be viewed and appreciated. Any areas of wear to the inner of the helmet are due to that and also natural age related deterioration.

There are specific images of the inner and lining provided. Of how that appears detached and hanging down, when not on a. Please note: I describe my items to the very best of my knowledge at the time of listing and include the best images I can.

I work long changeable shifts and also can be called away from home at short notice, due to the nature of my work. Items will most likely go out sooner, but this is stated to cover this just encase, in order to avoid any potential issues.
